CERTAIN STATISTICAL INDICATORS OF 'EMBRYO POPULATION': | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Statistical
data sets forth 'embryo population' as a homogeneous one. Percentage for
certain characteristics coincide with that of normal population, while for
some there is a tendency of attributing a better (superior) characteristics.
There are distinguished differences in the following categories: - intelligence: 72% with above-avarage intellect in embryo population, in comparison to 21% in normal population - immunity: 67% of high immunity level in embryo population, in comparison to only 2% in normal population - physical appearance: 64% with distinctly neat proportions, in comparison to 10% in normal population. Therefore it seems that the creators have attributed to the humans of 'future' a higher intelligence, more beautiful/ harmonious physical appearance and better health that those they have themselves. This tells us about attention given to these characteristics and how much they are appreciated nowadays. A very interesting detail here is that most have chosen 'normal' ageing process (46%), respectively not having decided for the elongation of one's lifetime. Among the characteristics
that differ in the two populations, the choice of eye colour is very interesting,
in embryo population 70 % of chosen eye colour is blue and green, in contrast
to our population where this two colours are the least prevalent. Based on the participants' comment we learned that there are two main approaches to the embryo creation, partly due to the fact that the 'parents' do not know each other, being random. First approach is characterized by the co-operation of the partners in the project. Embryo is attributed characteristics that are logical and natural upgrowth on previously chosen characteristic. Second method ic characterized by less co-operation where participants impulsively chose characteristics not thinking of the final embryo balancing, creating therefore 'inconsistent' embryo such as for exp.. too tall of a woman or 'genius' with chromosomes carrying mental disorder... Although it was obvious that some of the 'creators' were not satisfied with their selected partner, the number of abortions is low (3 aborts). Also, the embryo population
has the following characteristics for which it is assumed not to appear
in the genetically manipulated embryo's:

CRITICISM: Complaints can be narrowed down to two sorts. First are made on technical side of the project; on the restricted number of possible characteristics, too little graphic attachments, problems with internet connection... Second kind of complaints touches the moral aspects of gene manipulation, being held that such cannot be allowed to humans (at least not in this self- service form), as well with suggestions that partners (parents) should at least get to know each other better and questions such as where are love and beliefs inhere and those of morals. translation: Kristina Maskarin
